We deal with issues on a daily basis, just as in every job that offers services similar to ours. We receive difficulties from people daily, and we strive to assist in any manner we can in solving them. Recently we learned of a very large problem in the medical industry that we have actually worked at helping to prevent since our inception. The Problem

A local doctor brought a problem of theirs to our attention. They said, “Hygienist turn-over is especially high in my area.  I am constantly having to re-train staff on sterilization protocols and basic maintenance tasks.  It’s time consuming and keeps me working longer hours.” And in looking into the problem we found that this seems to be quite a large issue.

The Great Resignation, also known as “The Big Quit.” According to recent studies from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, there’s a lot of people quitting. But they’re quitting in an active search of new employment. And that means that retention for certain jobs is low, and for some places, probably at their lowest. The USBOLS reported that in January of 2022, 4.3 million people quit. And they also report that 41% of those employed in professional jobs are actively searching for new jobs. And while the pandemic was partially to blame, it’s generally not the only cause. It was some of the poorly thought out decisions during the pandemic that led to a shift. Financially, things changed to where the employees were getting enough from pandemic relief funding that they could choose when or if they even wanted to work.

Things are definitely on the change for the better now, but still. Having to try and heal all of that after the fact is not an easy task by any means. So there’s definitely a justifiable cause for concern.
