Down In Detail

Giving both the original SciCan Bravo and the Bravo G4 a glance obviously shows the G4’s advancement. But it’s when you look even deeper that you realize how incredible the Bravo G4 is.

Classification

For starters, as usual the Bravo G4 utilizes a Pre/Post Vacuum cycle. Which is highly effective against large or porous item loads that trap pathogens in smaller crevices than a standard steam autoclave can handle. With over 99% of the air being pulsed from the chamber during its cycle, it leaves no room for any germs to stick around during the sterilization phase. And with closed door drying, your instruments will come out perfectly dry each time.

These Class B autoclaves are becoming more of the norm in sterilization due to their effectiveness. Which is an excellent selling point to the reliability of the new Bravo G4.

Cycle Times

Another major factor to look into is definitely cycle times. Efficiency is most definitely important, but if you can find an autoclave that’s fast and reliable, there’s no better pick. Which is why we’re happy to report tat the Bravo G4 has a great balance between speed and successful results. Just like any other autoclave it can handle load types such as: solid unwrapped, solid wrapped, hollow unwrapped, hollow wrapped and rubber and plastic. Sterilization times increase respectively to that order, with rubber and plastic materials always needing longest times at 75 minutes with your Bravo G4.

But for everything else, the Bravo G4 can handle it in just under an hour. With the fastest load time belonging to solid unwrapped cycles clocking in at just 33 minutes. To some, that may sound like a lot but we promise it’s not. Time flies by, especially for the hard working medical staff. Those instruments will be ready before you know it, when you need it.

A Versatile Gentle Giant

One of the other great things about the Bravo G4 is it being labeled as “gentle” back home. What that means is actually a very good thing. Each cycle is performed with fresh water each and every time. Which mitigates the potential risk of buildup of oils and debris that can cause a litany of problems down the line. And with all that fresh water flowing through, it has to end up somewhere right?

Well thanks to the Bravo G4’s versatility, there are many options for filling and draining. Especially the automatic options, auto-filling and auto draining through back ports on the unit itself. But there are manual options for those who like that as well. manual filling though the top and/or front. And there are accessory connections that allow things like a water filtration system, a drain port adapter and even sterilizer monitoring systems.

G4 TechnologyThis is the SciCan Bravo G4 Chamber Autoclave G4 Tech Screen

We’ve talked about some of SciCan’s G4 autoclaves before, and there we emphasized the capability of their built-in G4 technology. And the Bravo G4 brings it all back and is ready to do right by its namesake. G4 technology allows the fast monitoring and sharing 0f your autoclaves results to any smart device you have. If it’s on the network, it’s easy to communicate your cycle results. And they can even be sent directly between office staff and service technicians if need be. The G4 technology’s range of access allows the busy hands of the medical staff to stay with patients and still get their cycle results if need be without having to leave. It’s such a useful tool to make sure everyone can get any info they need even at a moments notice.

Also this next feature isn’t necessarily part of the G4 tech itself, but I’d like to tell you about Delayed Start. This feature was announced with the autoclave and something we know is also very useful. This feature is exactly what you think. Pretty much just setting a schedule for any cycle should you need it. It can also be scheduled for an overnight run so you walk into your facility htre next morning with perfectly sterilized and dried instruments ready for the new day.
