Scican Statim 2000 Cycle Fault 7.  We’re here at Sterilizer Autoclave Solutions, headquartered in Charlotte, NC.  We have a STATIM 2000 that was sent in from Texas recording a Scican Statim 2000 Cycle Fault 7. This machine was sent to us for preventative maintenance and repair. Right now, we’re going to go over Scican Statim Cycle Fault 7.  Scican Statim 2000 Cycle Fault 7 is when the cassette temperature has dropped 4 degrees Celsius below a set point. If the cassette can be removed normally after venting, check for visible steam leaks from the cassette. In this case the cassette can be removed normally. Normally, you’ll see a bunch of steam leaking everywhere. It could be the cassette seal is out of place or the cassette seal is bad. The cassette seal should be replaced every 500 cycles or six months (whichever comes first – just like an oil change in your vehicle). You can find and or purchase the Statim 2000 or Statim 5000 cassette gasket on our website at statimusa.com.

Moving along to the next items to check if you are experiencing cycle fault 7, if no visible steam leaks are coming from the seal, we’re going to look at this solenoid. This solenoid is built of a coil, a plunger and a stem. Usually what happens is a piece of string or a needle tip or something like that will get stuck inside of this solenoid coil, preventing it from venting and exhausting as it should. The next thing we will want to verify is the check valve and the pressure relief valve are not leaking. The Statim 2000 and Statim 5000 check valve should be replaced every two years (at maximum). It’s in line to the air compressor. A way to test that, I can show you in another video, again, on statimusa.com. After those two things, if the cassette can’t be removed, then we would go to the exhaust tubing. Make sure it’s not kinked pinched down by the fitting. That could be an issue. Or if you pack too many instruments in your cassette, that could also be an issue. Again, these things are sent to us from all over the country.
