Midmark M11D “Old Style” No Valve PM Checklist

Continuing our series of checklists, today we’re moving on to the Midmark M11D “Old Style” autoclave. This is an updated version for M11D units that are OLD STYLE and DO NOT have a VALVE. So in this article, we’re going to go over its preventative maintenance checklist. What you need and when you need it to keep it functioning at 100%. And doing everything we can to extend the life of your autoclave for as long as possible. This Midmark M11D Old Style no valve checklist comes as a part of our Free Preventative Maintenance program.

This is the updated preventative maintenance checklist for the Midmark M11 autoclave.Daily

The daily maintenance on your Midmark M11D consists of cleaning the unit daily and replacing the water with fresh water. Even changing the door gasket if need be. The daily maintenance checklist requires you to:

  • Replace distilled water in reservoir as needed
  • Clean door and dam gasket with a micro fiber cloth and dishwashing soap or a mild detergent that does not contain chlorine 
  • Replace door gasket as needed*

Weekly

The weekly maintenance revolves around cleaning the chamber and its contents and draining the reservoir. The weekly maintenance says you should:

  • Use Opticlave to clean the water reservoir once per week 
  • Clean the chamber, rack, and trays with Speed Clean chamber cleaner 
  • Drain water from reservoir and refill with distilled water

Monthly

Monthly maintenance consists of checking the chamber filters. For monthly maintenance, you should:

  • Remove and inspect the mesh chamber filters. Rinse with water and clean if it is dirty. Replace as necessary*.

Every 6 Months

Maintenance that occurs every 6 months consists of checking and replacing the door gasket. Every 6 months, you are recommended to:

  • Replace the Door and Dam Gasket
  • Inspect the door ring and replace if it is out of round

Yearly

Every  year:

  • Replace door springs 
  • Replace mesh chamber filters
