That year, Aaron Tuttnauer opened a family owned workshop that produced steam pressure vessels. They started making autoclaves in 1925 for the British army if you can believe that. Then in 1952, Aaron and his son Joshua founded the company, aptly named, Tuttnauer. And they kept creating more and more autoclaves for many different uses. In fact their hard work made it so that in 1962, they had begun mass production and moved to a facility that could handle their output.
Then in 1987 and 1989, they started exporting them to the USA and Europe respectively. Expanding their reach across the country, and even giving them a market presence overseas. After that, there was nothing stopping them. Their expansion led them to India in 2005, after 80 years in the industry, and expansion to China just 3 years later. They spent a better part of the 1900’s and early 2000’s showing the world what they had to offer.
And since then, they’ve made a name as one of the top authorities in laboratory autoclaves from hospitals and pet care facilities to prestigious universities. And with the largest autoclave manufacturing plant in the world with over 325,000 square feet to work with, you can see that they’ve definitely come pretty far.
