In 2017, Enbio shook up the autoclave market with their compact powerhouse, the Enbio S. It won multiple awards and showed the industry that even the smallest units can keep up with the best. But now, Enbio’s brought the next generation to us. The next in their line of compact autoclaves that was once a European exclusive. That’s right… the Enbio Pro is now available in the US autoclave market. More specifically, it’s available here at Sterilizer Autoclave Solutions.
So in this article, we’d like to talk about the various features and benefits the Enbio Pro has to offer. As well as the specifications that give it it’s unique working performance.
What is the Enbio Pro?
The Enbio Pro is the next in Enbio’s Swiss-made compact steam sterilizers. The “PRO” attached to this unit isn’t for show either. The Enbio Pro is a professional-grade, Class B steam autoclave designed for various high-volume clinics. It can service the autoclave needs for dental, medical, ophthalmology, veterinary, dermatology and podiatry practices.
Its compact build and cycle speeds even make it an ideal autoclave for tattoo and piercing shops that need a robust, but non-intrusive solution. It even runs at a quiet 40 decibels for sensitive ears in any practice. So many fascinating features wrapped up in a sterilizer cover by your choice between a variety of warranties.
Let’s look at some of the other features the Pro has up its sleeve.
How Does Size Make a Difference?
The Enbio Pro is up to 6 times smaller, up to 3 times lighter, and up to 4 times faster than typical Class B steam sterilizers. It may be compact, but its size is nothing to sneeze at. It serves as a size upgrade from the original Enbio S. With full exterior dimensions measuring in at L 22 x W 10 x H 7.8 inches.
Along with those exterior dimensions, the Enbio Pro sports a chamber size of 5.3 liters. And into this larger chamber go the chamber trays. The Enbio Pro holds a tray measures out to L 11 x W 7 x H 2.7 inches. That large space can hold up to 16 packs at once, or a bulk instrument load for maximum sterilization capacity.
How Fast Are These Cycles Really?
When we said that the Enbio Pro can get a cycle done in just 10 minutes, we weren’t kidding. The Enbio Pro’s fast 273.2°F (134°C) cycle for Unwrapped loads comes in at just under 9 minutes including drying time. But if you need options, the Pro has more than one cycle setting.
The Enbio Pro’s other cycles consist of a 273.2°F (134°C) Wrapped Class B cycle that comes in at 18 minutes. A 273.2°F (134°C) Wrapped Class B Cycle in just 30 minutes. And a 273.2°F (134°C) Wrapped PRION Cycle that’s complete in just 43 minutes. The PRION program setting is important to use on the instruments that have come into contact with pathologically altered prion proteins. And all of these cycles, like the first one, include drying time!
Along with rapid cycle times, the Enbio Pro accomplishes its sterilization tasks with a triple vacuum setup. Which means that your cycles aren’t just performed well, they’re handled with expert care. The triple vacuum in the Pro allow it to live up to its Class B title effectively. Giving you the peace of mind that everything inside that chamber is sterilized to standard by the time you take it out.
How Does the Enbio Pro Log Data?
The Enbio Pro, much like its predecessor, can log data in a couple of modern ways. It can either use the USB drive port in the back of the sterilizer. But it can also log data online. All of the data is automatically saved to a USB drive without manual input, so no manual saving required.
