This is no different. In this article, we’re going to go over the preventative maintenance steps you’ll be taking each maintenance period for your SciCan Bravo 21V. The Bravo 21V is a well-known powerhouse in today’s autoclave market. And the other variant of SciCan’s Bravo 17V.

So in this article, we’re going to go over its preventative maintenance checklist. What you need and when you need it to keep it functioning at 100%. And doing everything we can to extend the life of your autoclave for as long as possible. This SciCan Bravo 21V checklist comes as a part of our Free Preventative Maintenance program.

This is the SciCan Bravo 21V PM Checklist.The Preventative Maintenance

Daily

The daily maintenance on your Bravo 21V consists of cleaning the unit daily and replacing the old water with fresh water. Even changing the door gasket if need be. The daily maintenance checklist requires you to:

  • Clean the door gasket with a wet cloth and check for wear – Replace if necessary. 
  • Clean all external surfaces with Optim1 disinfectant. 
  • Completely empty the waste tank every time you refill the water reservoir. 
  • If using a data logger, transfer the data on the USB drive to your computer. 
  • Clean chamber drain filter.

Weekly

The weekly maintenance revolves around cleaning the chamber, water tank and filters. Keeping the area around the Bravo 21V clean as well. The weekly maintenance says you should:

  • Clean the chamber and appropriate accessories with a wet cloth. If required, use a neutral detergent (a mild detergent containing no alkalies or bleaches). Carefully rinse with distilled water and remove any residue. 
  • Clean the internal (and external – if installed) water tank with Opticlave Autoclave Cleaner. 
  • Inspect, clean, or replace the drain filter. 
  • Ensure area around Bravo is dust free.

Monthly

Monthly maintenance consists of testing the safety valve. For monthly maintenance, you should:

  • Test the safety valve located on the back of the unit. 

Every 3-6 Months

Maintenance that occurs every 3 to 6 months consists of checking and replacing the bio filter. Every 3-6 months, you are recommended to:

  • Or every 500 Cycles replace the Biological Filter.

Yearly

Every year:

  • Replace the Door Gasket every 1000 cycles or 12 months (whichever is first).

General

This is maintenance to do for things like the printer and PM Kit for the unit. General maintenance consists of:

  • If printer paper is not printing properly, remove paper, tighten the paper around the roll and retry. 
  • Complete Bravo 17V PM Kit available includes: Door Gasket, Biological Filter, and Chamber Drain Filter
