MBS vs. PDI – Which Wipe to Choose
When it comes to making decisions on two things that seem so similar, not everyone has the time to compare and contrast them. But, in this article, that’s not quite the case. What Are They?
In short, MBS Simpli Germicidal Disposable Wipes and PDI Super Sani-Cloth Germicidal Disposable Wipes are a pre-moistened non-woven durable wipe containing a quaternary/alcohol based solution.
They are both meant for critical care areas where the control of the hazards of cross-contamination between treated surfaces is required. This covers a range of many businesses to include hospitals, dental offices, veterinary practices, tattoo and piercing parlors, and other medical facilities. The wipes are also excellent and recommended for any facility in need of disinfectant wipes. And while both MBS and PDI’ wipes both have a maximum exposure time of up to 2 minutes, in some areas MBS can do it faster.
For example: when combatting things like Mycobacterium bovis BCG (Tuberculosis) [ATCC 35743] or Respiratory Syncytial virus (RSV), it’s exposure time has been halved from 2 minutes to only 1 minute at room temperature. Better yet, when tested against the HIV-1 (AIDS) virus, exposure time halved again from that 1 minute to only 30 seconds with the result of being listed as a virucidal against that virus.
Some Final Thoughts
Looking back at the points made between the MBS and PDI wipes, at first glance, anyone can claim they are the same thing. But the truth is always shown in the data, and MBS provides that more visibly than PDI.
