SciCan Statim 5000 Cycle Fault 3
After certain periods of time, your autoclave may experience errors or serviceable issues. Through its use, your Statim 5000 can possibly display any number of Cycle
Fault codes that all pertain to different issues. Whether it’s repairs that you, the end-user can manage, or issues that may require a certified technician for further diagnosis. Like the Cycle Fault we’ll go over in this article, Cycle Fault 3. We’ll go over what the Cycle Fault means and any steps that can be taken as the end-user.
Note: Any step marked with “Field Service Tech. repair” is NOT meant to be serviced by the end-user. These steps are meant to be serviced by certified technicians. Any attempt to recreate technician repairs with improper tools or knowledge could result in damage to your autoclave.
What is Cycle Fault 3?
Cycle Fault 3 means: The cassette has failed to pressurize and achieve a temperature of 110°C within a time-out period.
- Check for visible steam leaks from the cassette. If the cassette is leaking repair as needed. Replace cassette seal, lid or tray. End user repair
- If no leaks are visible disassemble the solenoid valve and check for debris or the plunger sticking in the plunger tube. Field Service Tech. repair
- Check for constant power to the solenoid. Measure AC voltage at J1-7 & J1-8, should be zero volts with cassette out of the unit and line voltage with cassette inserted in the unit. Field Service Tech. repair
- Verify that the check valve and pressure relief valves are not leaking. Field Service Tech. repair
