Once-A-Day® Ecos™ Bowie-Dick Test Pack is a compact, fully disposable, and environmentally friendly Bowie-Dick test pack. It is lead, heavy-metal, and latex-free and is completely biodegradable. The test sheets and inks contain no lead or heavy metals, no toxic concerns, pollutants, latex, dry natural rubber, or health hazards.

Applications

The Once-A-Day® Ecos™ test pack is designed for pre-vacuum sterilizer mechanical air removal testing at the start of each day, or after routine or other maintenance. It can detect low temperature/pressure conditions, wet, and superheated steam.

How to Use

• Place the Once-A-Day® Ecos™ test pack inside the sterilizer chamber on the bottom rack.
• Run a standard pre-vacuum sterilization cycle at 273.2°F/134°C using a 3.5-minute exposure time.
• After the sterilization cycle is complete, remove the Once-A-Day® Ecos™ test pack from the sterilizer chamber and examine the test sheet.

Interpreting the Results

A properly processed Once-A-Day® Ecos™ test pack will exhibit a uniform black color change across the entire surface of the sheet. Any deviation from a full color change, such as white areas or uneven coloring, indicates a sterilizer malfunction.

Propper Manufacturing Company, Inc. Bowie & Dick Lead-Free Test Packs (ECOS™ Reorder Number 26630400 and VERTOS™ Reorder Number 26610100) has been deemed non-hazardous under the guidelines provided by OSHA Hazard Communication.

Therefore, no Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is required for this product.

Bowie & Dick Lead-Free Test Packs contain no known ecological hazards nor flammable liquids or gas. Standard transport conditions apply, no special conditions are required. The test sheets may be disposed in regular trash, or incinerated if necessary.
