Primary Function

The microswitch acts as an electronic safety sensor within the unit’s door latch assembly. It communicates directly with the machine’s central computer to verify whether the front door is completely closed and safely locked.

• Prevents Operation: The washer will not start a cleaning cycle if the switch detects the door is open.
• Safety Lockout: It ensures hot water, detergent, and steam remain safely sealed inside the unit during operation.
• Triggers Errors: A faulty microswitch will usually prompt a “Door Open” or latch error on the SciCan touch screen even if the door is visibly shut.
