It functions as a critical mechanism to monitor and confirm that the autoclave’s unique, sliding loading drawer is completely closed and safely locked before a high-pressure steam sterilization cycle can begin.

Primary Functions:
- Drawer Closure Verification: Because Enbio autoclaves utilize a unique drawer-style loading chamber rather than a traditional swinging door, the sensor acts as a safety interlock.
- Magnetic Activation: When the drawer is fully shut, an internal magnet embedded in the drawer assembly aligns with the stationary reed sensor mounted inside the chassis.
- Signal Transmission: The magnetic field triggers the sensor to close its electrical contacts (Normally Open configuration). This signals the mainboard that it is safe to pressurize the system up to its operating threshold of 30.5 psi (2.1 bar).
