Core Function & System Role
- Hyperfiltration Processing: This cartridge provides the critical reverse osmosis (RO) hyperfiltration stage of the system.
- Ultra-Pure Water Production: It strips away microscopic impurities, total dissolved solids (TDS), and minerals from municipal tap water.
- Equipment Protection: The ultra-pure, demineralized water it generates is necessary for medical and dental equipment—such as STATIM steam autoclaves, instrument washers, and ultrasonic cleaners—to prevent scale buildup and ensure proper sterilization.
In the standard SciCan STATPURE system layout, the filter operates in sequence with three other stages:
- Filter #1: Prefilter (SWP01F)
- Filter #2: Hyperfiltration (SWP02F)
- Filter #3: Deionization (SWP03F)
- Filter #4: Polishing (SWP04F)
